Forming a More Perfect Union: A Historical Simulation for Students
Educators: Do you have students looking for opportunities to debate and dig deeper into decision-making during the American Revolution?
We invite you to nominate one or more students from you school to participate in a full-day historical simulation of the dramatic debate around declaring independence from Great Britain.
Students will take on the roles of actual delegates to the Constitutional Convention in order to experience first-hand the debates that led to the Connecticut Compromise, the establishment of our system of government, and the creation of the U.S. Constitution. Students will hear a keynote address by Dr. Philip Mead, Chief Historian and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Museum of the American Revolution, and receive a facilitated tour of the Museum.
Lunch and Septa Day Passes will be provided.
This program is presented in partnership with the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI). For more information on educational activities at FPRI, visit www.fpri.org/education.
