Flag Day and Father's Day Weekend
In honor of Flag Day and Father’s Day Weekend, the Museum of the American Revolution will bring out of its collections George Washington’s Commander-in-Chief’s Standard, the flag that marked his presence on the battlefield. The rare surviving flag will be on display in the Museum’s first-floor Patriots Gallery from June 14 – 17.
Add a stitch to a reproduction of a Revolutionary flag, design your own flag, and try cutting a six-pointed star like the one on the Washington Standard. Compete in an interactive “capture the flag” challenge in the Museum’s galleries, try on clothing and practice rolling cartridges in a hands-on exhibit, and explore the Museum’s new family discovery center, Revolution Place.
Saturday, June 16 - Breakfast with George Washington
Celebrate Father's Day with General George Washington. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, courtesy of Brûlée Catering, in the Museum’s elegant Liberty Hall. General Washington will meet and greet guests while they dine on an assortment of muffins, bagels and mini quiches.
