There is plenty for children, their families and carers to see and do at the Museum, with hands-on activities at Discovery Carts, daily activities, story hours, “make & take” crafts and more. The Museum’s hands-on discovery center Revolution Place brings 1770s Philadelphia to life with four immersive environments – a military encampment, a tavern, a place of worship and a home – and digital interactives.
Every day, the Museum is alive with educators who deliver talks, tours, and hands-on activities. You can drill for battle outside the Battle of Brandywine Theater, step aboard the Privateer Ship and explore a sailor’s sea chest, participate in a free “Tableau Talk” tour of the Galleries, and handle replica objects at special themed Discovery Carts. All daily activities are free with admission!
Be sure to ask about our scheduled Daily Programs the day of your visit.
