The American Revolution Center (ARC) will establish the first national museum to commemorate the entire story of the American Revolution. The Museum will display its distinguished collection of objects, artifacts and manuscripts from the American Revolution era and will offer educational programming, lectures, symposia, and interactive learning for teachers, students, and the general public.
The American Revolution created our country and made possible an enduring form of constitutional government admired world-wide. Americans are not united by blood, land, or race, but by the ideals and principles upon which our Republic was formed. Knowledge of these principles is essential for our democracy to survive. Yet studies show a disturbing decline in the knowledge and understanding of the founding period, especially among young people. The American Revolution Center will engage the public in understanding the
significance of the American Revolution and its enduring legacy.
